A CPN-Maoist activist was killed by cadres of Jaya Krishna Goit faction of Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha (JTMM) in Motihari of Siraha district Sunday.
 
Ganga Yadav died after sustaining bullet injuries during "exchnage of fire" with JTMM-Goit cadres in Baspatti of Motihari, reports said.
 
Claiming the responsibility of Yadav’s murder, JTMM Siraha in-charge Pradip Yadav said that Ganga Yadav was in their hit-list from a long time for his involvement in the murder of its politburo member Binay Kumar Mahato.
 
He also claimed that JTMM cadres seized one pistol, a motorcycle and a mobile set from the deceased Yadav.
 
Meanwhile, one person died in an indiscriminate firing by dacoits in Sarlahi district late last night.
 
Khairu Raya Yadav, 34, was killed after the dacoits suddenly opened fire at villagers while trying to rob their houses in Manpur V.D.C-8 last night, reports quoted the District Police Office as saying.
 
The dacoits who had come in a huge group had made away with looted properties worth Rs 150,000 in cash and other belongings from seven to eight houses. nepalnews.com ag July 16 07
